Port Overview
Tien Sa Container Terminal, operated by Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP), is the primary container facility serving central Vietnam. Da Nang acts as the gateway for the central provinces — Quang Nam, Quang Ngai — and the Central Highlands. As a feeder port, cargo typically transships via Singapore, Hong Kong, or HCMC to reach major global destinations.
The upcoming Lien Chieu deep-water port project (currently under development) will significantly expand Da Nang’s capacity and eventually accommodate ultra-large container ships, reducing reliance on transshipment hubs.

Add Transshipment Time
Feeder routing adds 5–10 days vs. direct services. Factor this into your lead time planning.
